PRODUCTION STATEMENT
« Merrick is foremost a human experience. This film was born from the drive of a group of friends to filmmaking and is produced completely independently by Red Color and Khatom Productions. Merrick was filmed for the most part in the department of Corrèze, France, and the production is the result of the dynamic "resourcefulness" which its team engineered. The film premiered at several festivals, including the Champs-Elysées film festival, the International Independent Film Festival of Bordeaux and the Oxford International Film Festival, where it was enthusiastically and critically acclaimed by the public. The story takes place in a colourful post-apocalyptic setting and paints a poetic meditation on mourning. »
